As a New Jersey photographer, I’m used to juggling a busy schedule—wedding season, family sessions, and editing marathons—but the start of 2025 brought a whole new level of excitement and chaos. Between finishing my photography busy season, creating holiday memories with my girls, being very pregnant, shooting two weddings in my third trimester, and moving to a new house… it’s a miracle we even got the nursery ready!
Now that things have settled, I’m finally getting around to sharing one of my favorite rooms in the house—our baby’s teddy bear-inspired nursery. It’s a calming, cozy space that I completely fell in love with while putting it together, and I’ve included all the links so you can recreate the look. Here’s a look for your newborn nursery inspiration:
The nursery’s focal point is the blue accent wall, painted in Oceanic Climate by Behr. It adds a pop of calming color while keeping the room feeling soft and welcoming. This shade pairs beautifully with the warm tones of the furniture and the teddy bear theme.

We chose the Elsie Convertible Crib and Camden Extra Wide Dresser from Pottery Barn Kids in the color Sandstone. They have a timeless look and will grow with our little one for years to come.

Late-night feedings call for comfort, so we went with the Paxton Power Recliner in white performance fabric from Pottery Barn Kids. It’s incredibly cozy, easy to clean, and perfect for snuggling up during those early mornings.

The 28″ round decorative wall mirror from Target adds a modern touch above the dresser, helping to bounce light around the room. We paired sheer white Farrah curtains with a sleek black Dauntless curtain rod for a clean, airy feel.

We added a wood and metal round end table from Target next to the recliner for bottles, books, and those must-have middle-of-the-night items. The changing pad from Amazon fits perfectly on top of the dresser.
A nursery isn’t complete without storytime staples and whimsical details. We stocked up on favorite children’s books from Amazon, hung an adorable crib mobile, and brought in a sweet collection of teddy bears from Amazon and Cuddle + Kind.

We brought in vintage-inspired teddy bear art from Etsy and the sweetest teddy bear blanket for a final touch of warmth and texture.
A coat rack from Amazon near the door keeps baby’s sweaters, hats, and diaper bags organized.

Designing this nursery during such a busy season of life felt overwhelming at times, but seeing it all come together was so rewarding. It’s the perfect blend of calm, cozy, and timeless, and I can already picture years of bedtime stories and playtime here.
If you’re expecting and planning your own nursery, I hope this newborn nursery inspiration inspires you to create a space that makes you smile every time you walk in.
