A beautiful fall wedding day at Crystal Point Yacht Club! Cayla and Michael had the best day despite the forecast calling for showers the rain held off until after all portraits! Phew!
How they met…”We met playing against each other in a work charity basketball game. During the game, I stepped into guard him and he claimed I fouled him. I told him he would know if I really fouled him. Our first interaction ever. We are both very competitive. After the game, everyone got drinks and he asked for my number.”
The proposal… “We went out to a nice dinner, which is a usual thing for us in the summer. Therefore, I did not think anything of it. It was an early dinner so we had plan to get drinks somewhere after. After debating on where to go, we settled to get drinks at The Crabs Claw in Lavallette before supposedly meeting up with his friends. After parking on the street where his family used to own a house and the street we go up to the beach, we started walking to the bar. He claimed he forgot his phone and wallet and ran back to the car. Meanwhile as I still have no clue, that is when he got the ring. He changed his mind when he caught back up with me and said let’s go up to the beach. We walked up the beach entrance and stood on top looking at the beautiful beach. He stumbled on his words a little and I thought he was going to break up with me. But he finally came out and said what was happening and asked me to marry him. At that point, my father and stepmother were walking up and his parents were driving up the street honking. My stepmother took our pictures and his mother made a beautiful spread in the trunk of their car to celebrate.”
