Katie and Joe’s The Mill Lakeside Manor wedding in Spring Lake, NJ was my first wedding of 2026. And it was a cold one!

It was one of those days where the second you step outside, you feel it immediately. But honestly, you wouldn’t know it looking at their photos.

There’s always something nice about that first wedding after the holidays. Everything feels a little slower, exciting, and it was such a good way to ease back into the season.

The Mill is always a favorite, especially in the winter. The lake, the light, everything just looks pretty covered in snow.

But Katie, Joe and everyone else were so easygoing about bracing the cold. We went in and out for portraits, took breaks to warm up, did some portraits inside as well.

It was just a really solid day all around. Good people, easy energy, and everything flowed the way it should.
