I had a great time photographing Jessica and Anthony’s engagement session at the Jersey Shore. We started at Manasquan Inlet and then headed to Jenkinson’s Boardwalk for some fun rides and games, capturing the essence of a summer date night. Can’t wait for their wedding next year!

The First Date

Their first date in September 2020 was at the Panini Grille in downtown Freehold, an outdoor dining spot. It was a BYOB place, and Jessica often used the excuse of stopping for wine to explain her lateness. Anthony waited in the parking lot as she nearly ran him over while parking, risking his new shirt. The conversation flowed easily, thanks in part to Anthony’s generous pouring of wine. Not ready to end the evening after dinner, they headed to the American Hotel for one last drink before saying goodnight with a hug in the parking lot—a very PG end to a memorable date.

The Proposal

The proposal took place on November 5, 2023 at Allaire State Park during what was supposed to be a Christmas card photo session. Jessica had suspicions leading up to it but her sisters, who were in on the surprise, reassured her. Despite Anthony’s relaxed demeanor during the day, he surprised Jessica by proposing at the park. Afterwards, they found out both their families were waiting to celebrate with them at home.
