It’s one of my favorite times of the year! Cherry blossom season!!! These gorgeous blooms only last for a short time and each year they bloom at different times. This year the blooms came a little early and I was so happy to get Caitlyn and Ryan out to Branch Brook Park for their engagement session. It was a little chilly and cloudy for their session but towards the end of their session we did have some sunshine peaking through.
Caitlyn and Ryan met online, for their first date they went to a diner for breakfast and stayed until closing at lunch time. It was then when Ryan suggested they plan another date together. 🙂
Caitlyn had traveled to Florida to visit with her family and her grandfather who was sick. Ryan had taken a trip to Florida to be with Caitlyn and it was that moment when Caitlyn and Ryan knew they were the one for each other.
“I had a week off from work in November. It was a Monday and I was in vacay mode with sweatpants on, hair pulled back, nails not done, etc. Ryan asked me if I would like to go on a picnic to Garret Mountain (we had gone there on one of our first dates). It was an unseasonably warm and beautiful day. Ryan brought a backpack that I thought just had our favorite sandwiches (Sloppy Joes from Fairchilds in Roseland). Once everything was set up; Ryan set his phone on a rock and asked me to stand up. In a state of surprise, I asked “Why?” and didn’t stand up. Thank goodness Ryan proceeded to ask. I couldn’t believe what was happening! Then, we called and facetimed our closest family and friends.”
Caitlyns ring is an emerald cut surrounded by two baguettes on each side. “I absolutely love how much it shines and sparkles in all different lightening.” – Caitlyn
I had so much with Caitlyn and Ryan for their engagement session! I’m so excited to capture their big day this June at the Spring Lake Club.
